The Cork Vision Centre will be hosting a major solo exhibition by Paul Delaney, an emerging artist and designer from Cork who is starting to receive notoriety for his dynamic and vividly graphic artworks.
The solo exhibition entitled ‘HYPOGRAPHIC.’ will feature 30 large-scale artworks from the artist, and run from the 4th - 30th of January 2014.
The official opening night is the 9th January 2014, 6pm. Admission is by invitation only.
Paul Delaney lives and creates his art from his studio in Cork City and has been exhibiting his work since 2008. After being invited to show his work in the Jam Factory Gallery in Oxford during the summer, interest in the artist‘s work is ever-increasing.
The Cork Vision Centre, situated on North Main Street, lends its walls to a diverse range of local and inter- national artists and showcases a wide selection of styles and artistic approaches. Within its ancient walls, the Cork Vision Centre offers a wonderfully spacious gallery space beneath a restored vaulted ceiling.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Paul Delaney lives and works in Cork, Ireland. The highly vivid artworks created by the artist continue to successfully merge and manipulate the boundaries of fine art and graphic design. Delaney’s work is bold, vigorous and visually demanding but still manage to capture the fragility and vulnerability of everyday people and situations. Delaney creates his imagery by embracing a range of traditional and contemporary image-making techniques including collage, drawing, photography, painting and digital output. The unique style he has developed has resulted in numerous commercial commissions and artistic collaborations.
