The Sonoro Quartet is an outstanding young string quartet based in Amsterdam that features Cork violist Séamus Hickey, winner of second prize in the 2019 Amsterdam National Viola Competition, who is emerging as one of Ireland’s finest young musicians. For this concert, the group will perform string quartets by Beethoven and Bartók, plus a new work by MTU Cork School of Music alumni, composer and jazz performer Cormac McCarthy.
