CIT Musical Society presents GODSPELL

CIT Musical Society presents GODSPELL

Date: 20th Feb 2020 - 22nd Feb 2020
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Curtis Auditorium, CIT Cork School of Music

Godspell is a musical composed by Stephen Schwartz with the book by John-Michael Tebelak.

At the behest of John the Baptist, young men and women forsake their jobs and take up the mantle of Jesus Christ, becoming his disciples, in a musical retelling of the Gospel of Matthew set in modern-day New York City. Using song and dance, the apostles traverse the city, spreading Christ's message of love and tolerance as the time moves ever closer to his betrayal at the hands of Judas and, ultimately, his crucifixion.

With CIT Musical Society’s long-standing reputation for high quality sell-out shows, an amazing cast and talented creative team, Godspell is set to be a highlight in 2020’s musical theatre calendar. We’re delighted to be bringing this amazing musical to life under the direction of Ronan O’Shea and musical direction of Jimmie Brockie.
