EMERGE is an exhibition that celebrates the work of graduating craft makers as part of Cork Craft Month, embracing them as part of the community of Irish craft and design. Presenting works of selected graduates from Crawford College of Art & Design (applied arts), Colaiste Stiofain Naoifa (Furniture) & St. Johns Central college (jewellery), ‘Emerge’ aims to give the city a snapshot of up-and-coming contemporary Irish design and craft.

The Opening Night Thursday 1st August with guest speaker, Vera Ryan, a freelance art historian. ‘Made in Cork The Arts and Crafts Movement from the 1880s to the 1920s’ is her most recent publication. Vera Ryan will be sharing her thoughts on the exhibition. All are Welcome.

Three of the participating makers are awarded annual membership to Cork Craft & Design, a makers led organisation that brings together craft makers from all over Cork city and county. Cork Craft and Design has been working with talented makers from all over Cork for over 12 years, providing great opportunities to experience and purchase some the highest quality craft being produced in Ireland today.
