About Artist

Holly Walsh is an Irish artist, her studio is based near Waterfall Co.Cork. Holly graduated in 2016 with a B.A Fine Art from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design.

Her dedication to her practice at college led her to receive the 2016 CIT Registrar Prize as well as "Student of the Year" award from Cork's Lavit Gallery. Since, Holly has had two successful solo exhibitions with notable press coverage. She continues to advance her conceptual and technical development through her dedication to her medium. Her paintings exude a maturity and confidence, an attribute that is a testament to the time and personal commitment Holly has to her practice.  Working primarily in ink on a cotton-linen blend canvas Holly  reveals the hidden depths of dramatic landscapes by revealing the elemental movements and motions of particular places. Her attention to detail and all-encompassing approach to her practice can be experienced as you become part of the landscape itself, particularly in her large scale pieces.
