MTU Alumni involved with new art school in Macroom.

Chapel Hill School of Art - encourcaging the importance of education through art.

Chapel Hill School of Art was founded in 2020 by Joe Neeson and John Mc Cormack. The school is based in the historic Mercy Convent on Chapel Hill in Macroom, Co. Cork, designed by Architect John Pyne Hurley in 1860.

“Our classes at CHSA are based in the traditional Art School model of a skills based practice. We programme our classes around the Plastic Arts of Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, Textiles and Print utilizing contemporary digital visual arts in compliment to these traditional and time honoured skills” (text from Chapel Hill website)

Teachers - Catherine Callanan, Muireann Kelleher, Lucia Pearle, Gemma Harris, James Horan, Cassandra Eustace, Paul McKenna, Vince Murray, Helle Helsner, Rosemary Kavanagh and Áine Farrell, will share their knowledge in Textiles, Print,
