CIT CSM MA student Kevin Terry wins 2019 Jerome Hynes NCH Composition Bursary

Kevin Terry, a second year student on studying of his MA in Composition Programme in the CIT Cork School of Music, under the supervision of Stephen Parker, has been awarded the 2019 Jerome Hynes NCH composition bursary.

He will receive a prize of €2,500 and the performance of a new work which will be premiered at the NCH in 2020. Kevin was recently also one of three young composers shortlisted for the Peter Rosser Composition award in Belfast. Quipu was performed by The Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble, a Contemporary Music Ensemble based in Northern Ireland.

This year’s award was adjudicated by renowned Irish composers Brian Irvine and Ann Cleare.
