2019 Crawford Gallery Summer Lunchtime Concert Series begins this Thursday 16 May at 1:10pm

The opening concert of the Crawford Gallery Summer Lunchtime Concert Series takes place this Thursday 16th May in the Lecture Theatre of the The Crawford Art Gallery, Emmet Place, Cork at 1.10 p.m.

The concert features:

pianist Nicholas O'Halloran, Chairman of the series since 1996, Nicholas’ many performances in the Crawford Art Gallery have contributed to a reputation as a pianist of brilliance and dramatic power. He will play Beethoven's Sonata Op.78, Liszt: Les jeux d'eaux a la Villa d'Este, Granados: The Maiden and the Nightingale and Chopin’s F-sharp minor Polonaise Op. 44, the largest and at once the most tumultuous and yet intimate of the set.

Tickets priced €12 and €8 are available at the door. Doors open 12.45 p.m.

The series was founded in 1963 by Gerald and Sheila Goldberg and has enjoyed the support of CIT Arts Office since 2001.
