On the eve of JFK’s assassination, a group of marines are set to deploy to Vietnam with dreams of becoming war heroes. On this final night they decide to host a “Dogfight”. Fifty dollars in the pot, a woman on one arm and the contest is simple: the ugliest date wins you the pot. Things take a turn when golden boy Eddie Birdlace picks naïve young waitress, Rose, as his ticket to the dogfight. Eddie’s hopes to desensitize himself for the war ahead are spoiled when his true intentions for Rose are unveiled. Hurt and betrayed, Rose forces Eddie to take a good look at himself and the world around him…

Please support this wonderful cast and crew for three nights only in the Granary theatre, Cork.
