Diana Kingston was born in British Guyana in 1954. She studied Fine Art in the Crawford Municipal School of Art in Cork and graduated with distinction in 1978.

Over the years she has moved away from her early concerns with hyper-realism and the self-portrait to finding beauty and ambiguity in nature and natural objects – particularly those found along the sea shore in West Cork and Killiney.
