Jobbridge Internships - Gallery Assistant and Arts Event Coordinator

Gallery Assistant- CIT Wandesford Quay Gallery

The intern will gain practical experience in the planning and programming of events, gallery maintenance, promotion & PR via social media & other web outlets, recording visitor statistics, contributing to the production of the end of year report,  assisting with hanging shows, liaising & collaborating with external stakeholders.

The intern will receive formal/informal training in advertising, PR & social media skills, project management, IT & health & safety

On completion the intern will have attained skills in how to market, organise & launch arts events, event & project management skills, communication and IT skills.


Skills requirement- Excellent PC Skills and interpersonal skills are needed as well as an ability to work on your own initiative. Knowledge / interest in the arts & culture would be an advantage.

 

CIT Arts Office – Arts Event Coordinator

The intern will gain practical experience in supporting the organisation of arts events. They will have responsibility for supporting the administration & delivery of arts projects. They will work with arts personnel to create event plans, health & safety documents, marketing & promotion of the events and uploading of data to the arts website & social media The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following filmaking, website content management systems, health & safety, marketing & promotion and Microsoft Office 2010.

On completion the intern will have attained skills in how to organise arts events including the creation of safety plans,  risk assessments and event management plans. They will learn how to upload information to a website, write a press release and use social media.


Skills Requirement-  Excellent PC Skills and interpersonal skills are needed as well as an ability to work on your own initiative. Knowledge / interest in the arts & culture would be an advantage.
